Someone you love just became a citizen, after the forms, the fees, the fingerprints, the civics test and the oath. If you want a new citizen card that's more fun than a bald eagle, this one is a music video where their real face, cut from a photo, dances in front of a government building and sings about jury duty.

New Citizen
It opens on a sunny plaza with rows of American flags and two dancers in their best clothes, waving little flags up high and jumping. Then a backyard barbecue with red, white and blue bunting, one dancer hugging the flag and laughing. Then the other at the grill, suit on, tie loose, apron over it, holding a hot dog up in the air and taking a bow. It finishes on a city street under fireworks.
The song is big soul and brass, with marching drums and a crowd behind it. The verse knows what it took: "All those years of paperwork, the lines, the forms, the test, you named every president, you did it better than the rest." Then it delivers the good news: "Now you get to vote and get jury duty, all of it for you!"
The chorus goes: "Welcome, citizen! Welcome home! This whole country's now your own!" And it ends with "Now pass the apple pie!"

What to write in a new citizen card
You type the names, and the headline, WELCOME, CITIZEN, is yours to change. Some ideas:
- FINALLY. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING.
- YOU KNOW MORE PRESIDENTS THAN I DO
- CONGRATS ON THE JURY DUTY
- OFFICIALLY ALLOWED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT
If those don't fit the person, there's a free list of what to write in a card, and a plain "We're so proud of you" has never failed anybody.

Whose faces to use
Two faces go in. Put in the new citizen and a spouse, a kid, or the friend who quizzed them on the civics questions in the car. You choose who goes on which dancer. The faces are the real photo, cut out and left alone. The dancers and the song are made with AI.
The best photo may be the one from the day itself, in the good clothes, holding the certificate and crying a little. Use it.

A card for family back home
A share link plays in a chat with nothing to install, which helps when half the family is in another country and on another messaging app. You can send it on the day itself, while everyone's still eating.
If you'd like something with no flags in it, You Did It, Big Shot is a general congratulations card for any big win.

What it costs
The preview with the faces in it is free. Keeping the card is $1.99, once, with no subscription and no account. You can download the MP4, make a share link or email it to up to 5 people from the card page.
