Looking for a funny bar mitzvah card or a bat mitzvah card that isn't a check in an envelope with a star on it? These two are short music videos. You upload a photo, the real faces get cut out and put on dancers, and those faces sing an original klezmer song, mouths moving to the words.
Every joke happens at the party. Nobody dances on the bimah. The kid already did the hard part up there, and this is the part with the chocolate fountain.

Mazel Tov, Bar Mitzvah
The party is in a hotel ballroom with blue and silver balloons and a DJ booth. Three dancers in dark suits, velvet kippahs and one blue cocktail dress clap over their heads and kick into a hora step. One of them gets a solo on the dance floor, thumbs pointed at himself, taking a big bow. That's the spot for the bar mitzvah boy's face.
The song gets faster the way a hora does. The verse goes: "The aunties cried, the uncles cried, the cousins want more cake." The chorus goes: "Mazel tov! Bar mitzvah boy! Lift him high and shout for joy!" And the last line is the one every thirteen-year-old is dreading: "Now write those thank-you notes!"

Mazel Tov, Bat Mitzvah
Same idea, pink and gold. Sequins, a candy wall, a giant cake and a dance floor full of colored lights. Her solo comes in a sparkly long-sleeved dress and sneakers, arms up, spinning her hands in the air.
This one has its own words: "The bubbe cried, the zayde cried, your brother ate the cake." Then: "Mazel tov! Bat mitzvah girl! Lift her high and watch her twirl!" She also has to write the thank-you notes. Equality.

What to write in a bar mitzvah card
The song covers the singing, but you still type the names, and you can change the big MAZEL TOV headline to whatever you like. Some to steal:
- TODAY YOU ARE A MAN. BEDTIME IS STILL 10.
- YOU NAILED IT. ZAYDE ONLY CRIED TWICE.
- MAZEL TOV, NOW CALL YOUR GRANDMOTHER
- THIRTEEN AND ALREADY BETTER AT HEBREW THAN ME
If you need more ideas, we keep a free list of what to write in a card.

Who to put on the dancers
Use three people the kid will recognize and be mortified by. The kid, plus the two relatives who will definitely dance at the party. Or leave the kid out and send it from the grandparents who couldn't fly in, so their faces show up on the dance floor anyway.
The faces are the photo, cut out and left alone. The dancers and the song are made with AI, your family's faces aren't. Any photo works, including the one from the group chat where Uncle Barry's eyes are closed.

Sending it
A share link plays in any chat. Drop it in the family thread and let it travel. You can also download the MP4 and hand it to the DJ for the slideshow, if you know the DJ and the parents agree. It's $1.99 for the card, and the preview with your faces is free, so you can watch your aunt do the hora before you pay anything.
