If you want to send one funny card without a year of membership attached, pay per card. Tangy Limes charges $1.99 a card, the ElfYourself app sells single dances for $0.99 (App Store), and Paperless Post charges per send (pricing). The membership sites, JibJab, Hallmark and American Greetings among them, want a monthly or yearly plan, though most have some kind of free option. Prices are from October 18 and linked below. They drift, so click through before you pay.

The pay-per-card crowd
We'll go first, since it's our blog. Tangy Limes cards are $1.99 each. You upload a photo, your real face gets cut out (no AI changes) and dropped onto a dancer, and the mouth sings the card's original song. You watch it free with your faces in it, you pay only if you want the MP4, and there's no account to forget the password to. That's how your grandmother ends up singing in a bingo hall in You're Old Now, or your whole family ends up next to a giant inflatable dreidel in Latke Party.
ElfYourself sells by the dance. Its App Store listing describes a free app with some free dances, single dances at $0.99, and bundles and a season pass if one dance isn't enough.
Paperless Post is more of an invitations shop, judging by its pricing page: you pay per send in Coins, and the first 50 invitations are free. There's a subscription too, called Paperless Pro.

The membership crowd
JibJab is the one you probably came here about. Its help center listed $36 a year or $24 for six months on the web, and the plan renews automatically under its Terms of Sale. There's a handful of free cards. We couldn't find a way to buy a single card without a membership. To be fair, its App Store listing claims more than 1,500 ecards, GIFs, videos and AI photo packs, so if you'll use it all year, that's a lot of card for the money. (Here's our full comparison.)
Hallmark gives Crown Rewards members one free eCard a month, according to its eCards page, which is a nice perk if you're already a member. Unlimited eCards come with Hallmark+, listed at $8.99 a month or $79.99 a year after a 7-day free trial, and it renews on its own per its terms.
American Greetings listed $35.99 a year, or $7.99 a month with the first month at $6.99, and a 7-day free trial that turns into a paid plan if you don't cancel. It also has a limited set of free ecards. Blue Mountain's FAQ shows the same prices. Jacquie Lawson is $36 a year, and Punchbowl's app has free ecards with paid tiers from $5.99 a month.

How we checked
We sell one of these, so we kept it boring on purpose. Every number about another company comes from its own website or App Store listing, linked next to the claim, as it read on October 18. Where we couldn't find something, we said so.

So which one
Count your cards. Eighteen Tangy Limes cards come to $35.82, which is less than any yearly price on this page. If you send fewer than that, paying per card is cheaper and there's nothing to cancel.
If you're the person who sends a card every week to forty cousins, a membership can make sense. Pick the catalog you like and put a reminder in your calendar a few days before it renews. Future you will be grateful.
And if the goal is your own face, cut from a real photo, singing at somebody on their birthday, that part's our whole job.
