Want a house party invitation video that people will actually open? Make the House Party Invite card on Tangy Limes: your real faces, cut out of photos, sing an original song on three dancers in a party at a house. You upload the photos and type the names, and the preview is free.
Paste the link in the group chat with the address under it. I'd send it about a week ahead, then once more the day before.

What's in the House Party Invite card
The headline says YOU'RE INVITED. It runs about 40 seconds and takes three faces, and the mouths move to the words, so it's your face asking. Four scenes:
The front door. A house done up with balloons and streamers at dusk, a bright party shirt in the doorway, waving everyone in like you own the place. You might even own the place.
The kitchen. A counter piled with pizza, chips and snacks, a sparkly outfit, and a giant bowl lifted to chest height for a shimmy. Consider this a promise about the snacks, and buy the snacks.
The living room. Turned into a dance floor, with a speaker, a colorful outfit, and headphones around the neck. Someone at every party believes they're the DJ, so cast that person here.
The backyard. String lights and a picnic table, everybody together, pointing at the camera. That's the part where they're pointing at whoever hasn't replied.

House party invite wording to copy
A video gets them to look. The text under it should answer the questions they'd otherwise ask you one at a time. Six things: day, time, address, what to bring, whether a plus-one is fine, and when you want them gone if you have neighbors.
Some ready to go:
- Saturday, 8. Our place. Bring whatever you want to drink and a friend we'd like.
- Party at mine Friday at 9. There will be pizza. There will also be my neighbor, so please be nice to him.
- We got a new couch and we're ready to ruin it. Saturday, 8 pm.
- Doors at 8. Music off at 1, because of the lease. Bring ice.
- It's my house, I'm inviting you, and that's as formal as this gets.
You can type over YOU'RE INVITED too. Try SATURDAY AT 8, BRING ICE, or YOU'RE INVITED, NOT YOUR COUSIN.

Who to put on the three dancers
The hosts are the plain choice. Here are a few others I like:
- The friend who always says "maybe." Their face is now on the invitation, so good luck to them.
- The roommate who hasn't been told about the party yet
- Your dog. Pet faces work on any dancer, and it's the dog's house as well.
Pick a photo where you can see the whole face. If the cutout clips some hair, paint it back. It's a cutout of the real face, with nothing redrawn by AI, so a bad photo stays a bad photo, which at a party is a selling point.

The other two cards for the same party
The invite is the first of three, if you like a theme. Epic Night Out takes four faces and goes from a neon nightclub to a rooftop, a karaoke room and a taco truck, with the headline WHAT A NIGHT. It's a good pick if the party moves on after your place closes.
Hungover is the morning after. One face or two, a trashed apartment, a giant mug of coffee, the headline SO HUNGOVER. Send it to whoever you found on the couch.

Sending it
Make a share link and drop it in the chat. It opens a plain web page that plays the video, so nobody installs or signs in to anything. You can also download the MP4 and post it on a story, since it saves in phone-shaped 9:16 as well as wide.
Watching the preview with your faces costs nothing. Keeping the invite is one $1.99 payment with no subscription, which is less than the ice.
