Tangy Limes Christmas cards are short music videos where your family's real faces, cut out of a photo you upload, sing an original holiday song. Holly Jolly Family and Holiday Boy Band fit four people, so everybody gets in, including the uncle who blinks in every photo. You pick the photo this time, so his eyes are open.
For a big family, start with Holly Jolly Family or Holiday Boy Band. Ugly Sweater Party is for the office. Merry Christmas is for just you, or you and whoever you split the gift budget with.
Holly Jolly Family is the one you send to the grandparents. It opens in a cozy living room with a huge decorated tree and a pile of presents, then moves out to a snowy front yard with far too many blinking lights and a crowd of inflatable snowmen, which is roughly your dad's dream house. After that comes a kitchen covered in flour and gingerbread, and finally a snowy street with a glowing Christmas market.
Ugly Sweater Party fits three and starts at a gloriously tacky office holiday party, with tinsel on every surface and a disco ball overhead. Then it's a living room with a toy train circling the tree, a rooftop with a giant inflatable Santa, and a snowy backyard bonfire. Send it to the coworkers who actually wore the sweaters. They earned this.
Holiday Boy Band is four faces in a late-90s boy band video. Fake snow falls, lasers cut through the fog, and then the group moves to a living room by the fireplace, Santa's workshop and a snowy mountaintop. Matching outfits come with it. Dignity does not. Cast your brothers-in-law. Somebody has to be the heartthrob, and it should be the one who least wants to be.
Merry Christmas is built tall, in 9:16, for phones. You get the glowing tree, a snowy street strung with lights, a gingerbread kitchen and stockings by the fireplace, with one dancer per scene, so it works with just your face or with two. It's the one to post in your Stories when you'd rather not explain why your cousin is in a boy band.
Making it
Pick the card, then add a family photo. One group shot is enough, since the faces get found for you, and you tap to decide who goes on which dancer. Putting Mom in the boy band is a strong move. Putting Dad in it is a stronger one. Type the names, press play, and watch your family sing words they've never heard before with complete confidence.
If someone's head looks a little big for their dancer, shrink it. We won't ask who. You can add captions too, or switch to the tall version for phones.
Keeping it costs $1.99. There's no subscription and no account, so there's nothing to remember to cancel in January. Text the MP4 to the family chat, send a share link, or email it to up to five people from the card page. If you're sending to the whole list, one share link covers everybody, so paste it into the group chat, your holiday email, or the bottom of that annual newsletter. Nobody has to find a stamp, and nobody has to stand by the tree while you count down from three.
So go find that one photo where everyone's eyes are open, and put them in the boy band. The preview is free, which means the worst outcome is laughing at your family for nothing.
